UBC Farm is a beautiful urban farm surrounded by forest. Once on the farm, the city disappears. The farm work at UBC is about growing food, but it is also about growing knowledge about agriculture. A side benefit of this effort is lots of very attractive, healthy and very delicious fruits and vegetables. It’s one of the best farm tours of the season, and you will learn something for sure. Last year Chef Ryan Reed of Nomad came out to Pemberton’s North Arm Farm and the Hawksworth restaurant crew visited UBC. This year, the two restaurant crews switch farms. Ryan and his Nomad crew are all enthusiasm. This is a team that feels positively euphoric about getting close to their ingredients.
