On Friday and Saturday, December 9th and 10th, NEWCITY is hosting a very special event for the peak-season holiday shopping period: The Gift Galleria and Food Truck Extravaganza! This holiday market will create a shopping experience unlike any other being held in Greater Chicago: it will feature the products and collections of some of the area’s greatest artisans and merchants, giving shoppers the opportunity to discover new and personal giftware.
Adding to the atmosphere will be some of Chicago’s most popular food trucks, plus live entertainment. Shopping during the winter holiday season is a wonderful experience and NewCity is adding to this enjoyment for your personal pleasure. Please join us for this wonderful festival!

Q: Why become a vendor at the NewCity Gift Galleria and Food Truck Extravaganza?
The holiday season is the peak season for shopping, and NEWCITY’s Gift Gallery and Food Truck Extravaganza is not only a drawing card in itself, but benefits from the extra foot traffic from this exciting new mall in Lincoln Park, Chicago’s lifestyle and entertainment district. NEWCITY itself is a mix of upscale shops and high-style residences.
Q: When is the event taking place?
The Gift Galleria and Food Truck Extravaganza is a two-day festival, taking place on Friday December 9th and Saturday December 10th.
Q: How is this event being promoted?
NEWCITY has a professional public relations team that has been very successful in promoting events being held at the property. Already, it has blasted out announcements about the Holiday Market to Chicago’s holiday event calendars, which most likely means it is EVERYWHERE! Over 10,000 Rack Cards were handed out at Spooky Zoo. The Gift Galleria and Food Truck Extravaganza is also going to be included on NewCity’s full page advertisement that comes out in December. During the week of November 21, it will be included in NewCity’s Direct Mail Booklet that hits 125,000 area homes. And it will be appearing soon on all of NewCity’s and PopUp Republic’s social media. In other words, this event is being marketed through every channel, as loudly as it possibly could!!
Q: What will be going on at this event?
The Gift Galleria and Food Truck Extravaganza is a family-oriented event that will feature 20+ vendors from the Greater Chicago area; some of Chicago’s most popular food trucks; and live entertainment on stage.
Q: What is expected of the vendors?
Shoppers will be coming to the Holiday Market looking for unique and exclusive items. They will be on a discovery mission, so we are in search of artisans and merchants who have special gift items to showcase. Each vendor will have its own 10’ x 10’ space and will be asked to bring a tent (white) and any tables or display cases it deems necessary. The cost to participate in the two-day event is $250. If a vendor wants to participate only one day, the cost is $150 for either day.
