James Beard Foundation's Taste America Tour - Taste Boston
Boston itinerary will kick off on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Taj Boston with A Night of Culinary Stars, an exclusive dining event benefiting the James Beard Foundation. The evening will begin with a reception filled with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from local chefs and restaurateurs, including Chef Carolyn Johnson (80 Thoreau, Concord, MA, ), Chefs Michael Lombardi and Kevin O’Donnell (SRV, Boston), Chef Juan Pedrosa (Yvonne’s, Boston), Chef Cassie Piuma (Sarma, Somerville, MA), Chef Marc Sheehan (Loyal Nine, Cambridge, MA) as well as Host Chef Gurminder Gidda (The Taj, Boston), Emcee for the evening will be Jenny Johnson, Producer and Co-host of NESN’s Dining Playbook. Afterwards, guests will be seated for an extraordinary dinner prepared by James Beard Award-winning chef and Taste America All-Star Daniel Boulud (Bar Boulud, New York City), along with Taste America Local Star, James Beard Award nominee Chef Karen Akunowicz (Myers + Chang, Boston) and Taste America Pastry Chef and James Beard Award Semifinalist Chef Maura Kilpatrick (Oleana, Cambridge, MA), who will collaborate to create a unique and unforgettable one-night-only menu.
On Saturday, November 4, 2017, free in-store consumer events will take place at Sur La Table® located at Copley Place. Activities of the day will include cooking demos by All-Star Daniel Boulud and Local Star Karen Akunowicz, book signings, tastings from local producers and artisans, as well as product demos and tastings from our national sponsors.
